Sanctioning

In 2010, USA Triathlon sanctioned over 3,500 events across the country. USA Triathlon not only sanctions triathlons, but also paratriathlon, duathlons, aquathlons, aquabikes, off-road events, winter triathlon, youth races, camps and clinics.

2011 race directors will be held accountable for all of the policies outlined. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the important race information for 2011.

The sanction process is entirely web-based, hosted and handled by the USAT website. The process will walk the event director through the design of a safety plan specific to their event. This section will give race directors a step-by-step guide for the current sanction system as well as some helpful reminders for the sanctioning process.
